Behavior SpecialistOnPoint is seeking an organized, committed professional to fill the position of full-time Behavior Specialist.  As the Behavior Specialist with OnPoint, it will be your responsibility to design and monitor the implementation of supportive behavior plans for identified individuals in accordance with funding, regulatory and best practice standards.

PAY RANGE/BENEFIT PACKAGE: 
Salary Range: $60,844 up to $83,965 annually - placement above minimum rate is based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in a discipline that supports public- and third-party reimbursement, from an accredited college or university required.
  • State of Michigan License or certification at the master’s level (LARA) required. 
  • Minimum of one year of relevant professional experience required. BCBA, LMSW, LPC, or LLP preferred.
  • One year’s experience developing behavior plans preferred.
  • Public behavioral health system experience preferred.
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/ co-occurring disorders/substance use disorders valued.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage individuals, families, and providers to develop supportive behavior plans.
  • Develop monitoring process for each behavior plan.
  • Conduct on-going training and data collection for each behavior plan.
  • Report results to the Behavior Treatment Committee as requested/required.
  • Conduct functional assessments and family training in an individual’s home.
  • Document services according to established standards.
  • Participate in utilization management and quality improvement processes.
  • Actively engage in supervision and team meetings.
  • Engage in internal and external care coordination efforts, including interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
EQUIPMENT/TECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE: 
  • Efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
